Birthday Parties

Your child’s next party will be a piece of cake when you celebrate it at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire! The museum has several different birthday party options to suit your family's needs and schedule.

All parties come with:

• Museum admission for up to 15 children and 15-30 adults.
• Minimum: 1 adult chaperone per five children.
• One-hour private party room rental PLUS 90 minutes to explore the museum
• Downloadable party invitations
• Museum staff to set up your party room
• A staff led make-and-take activity of your choice
• A write-on paper table cover
• Party favor for each child guest
• Access to a refrigerator, freezer, sink and microwave
• A CD player with many choices of children’s music. The Party family is also welcome to bring their own family friendly music.

• A delicious personalized quarter sheet cake with candles
• Apple juice and spring water for child guests

• Disposable cups for adult use
• A re-usable souvenir museum cup for each child guest to use and take home


Want the Museum all to yourself?

YES we can do that for you. We offer both our Basic Party and our Blowout Party during private hours.

• 20 children plus unlimited adult chaperones

Private Birthday Parties can be booked any of these times:
• Sunday Mornings: 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
• Mondays (except during the summer and school vacations): 9 am ­- 8 pm
• 7 nights a week: 5:30 – 8:00 pm.

Call 603-742-2002 or email birthdays@childrens-museum.org. Dawn Folkerts is available to help 10am – 3pm Monday through Friday. Parties are popular and some dates may fill up months in advance.

Booking a CMNH party requires a $50 nonrefundable deposit. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your scheduled party and may be paid by credit card, cash or check.

Looking for Deluxe Party Favors?:
If our standard party favor is not quite enough the Museum Store is filled with affordable high-quality educational toys and gifts. Just let us know what price range, and themes you have in mind and we will be happy to ensure that each of your guests goes home with a memorable favor. We will organize and wrap your favors at no extra charge. Please contact the Museum Store at least one week in advance of your party at 603.742.2002 ext. 113.

Food and Drink:
Party hosts are welcome to bring outside food and drink into the classroom for the first hour of the event. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted. We also ask that no nut products be served.
