Exploring Our Way
Special summer opportunity for Exploring Our Way families! We need to update photos of children enjoying the museum exhibits for MAPPS, the Museum's Advanced Planning Picture Stories social story. We're hosting a special edition of Exploring Our Way on Sunday, August 17 from 10am – 12 noon for families who are willing to allow their children to be models at the photo shoot. Your family is welcome to stay and enjoy the museum after we open to the public at noon. If you'd like to attend, you must complete a photo release form. Please RSVP to Paula Rais and she can send you a form in advance.
NEW! Starting in October 2014, Exploring Our Way sessions will move to the first Sunday of each month during the school year from 10 am - noon, the Children's Museum of NH offers free admission to families with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorders.
This program provides opportunities to enjoy family time at the museum
in a safe, understanding environment, allows parents to network with one
another, and will help families discover new resources available to
them. Special materials will be available for participants, including MAPPS™ (Museum Advance Planning Picture Stories), visual supports using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), a museum map and more. Exploring Our Way visitors are welcome to stay and play when
the museum opens to the public at noon. Children must be accompanied by
an adult. For more information about this program, please contact Paula Rais at (603) 742-2002.
Upcoming dates for Fall 2014 will be posted in August.
