Exhibits » Primary Place & Resource Center
A colorful mirrored rainbow canopy and a mural of the Portsmouth waterfront welcome visitors to this exhibit space designed especially for toddlers. The "Crawling Path" and "Smelling Garden" invite children to explore the sensory worlds of touch and smell. The fabrics, partitions, and puppets at "Silk Scapes" inspire young visitors to create unique environments and performances. The larged "Train Set" is a long-time favorite. Bright wooden flower manipulatives line the resource nook where adults can check out current parenting literature or snuggle to read with their little ones.
Primary Place is sponsored by Portsmouth Regional Hospital's Women's Care Lecture Series Fund.
