Camp Details

Forms: Please fill out this Emergency Contact & Health Form and return it to your educator, Colie Haahr through email, or bring it with you on your first day of class.

Drop off & Pick up: Participants should be dropped off promptly at 8:30am (doors to regular museum visitors will be locked until 9am) and picked up at 11:30am. Pick-up will take place in the camp classroom. We will only release a child once we see the authorized adult picking them up. We appreciate your prompt arrival to pick up your camper! If you have never been to the museum before, here are some directions and some helpful tips about parking.

Snack(s): Please have your camper bring his/her own snack(s). We ask that any food your camper brings has NO nut products, including peanuts or tree nuts.

Clothing & Footwear: Please have your camper come prepared to get messy! Although smocks are available, we do ask that participants wear clothing that is appropriate for various hands-on projects. Please also have your camper wear shoes that have backs (no flip flops).

Refunds: Please note that we cannot offer refunds on these camps unless we can fill your spot. If your child is displaying COVID symptoms and unable to attend a camp you have registered for, please email us at questions@childrens-museum.org to discuss options.

Summer Camp COVID Policy: We ask our camp families to follow the same protocols and policies that we have for all museum visitors and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. This policy applies to any care giver or family member entering the museum for pick up and drop up, as well as the campers during their camp day.

  • We ask that you do not come to camp if your child or anyone in your immediate family is sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19
  • Campers and family members over the age of 24 months must wear a mask over their mouth and nose at all times while in the Museum. Gaiters and bandanas do not qualify as acceptable face masks
  • Snack and water breaks will take place outside where campers can distance to safely remove masks
  • Please keep in mind that the museum is currently doing timed ticketed entry. If you plan to stay and play after a day at camp, please check the current hours and ticket availability
  • Museum staff do a daily health and temperature check, and will be wearing masks for the duration of camp

Summer Fun Activity Kits

Museumtogo1A

This summer the museum is offering Summer Fun Activity Kits for families to do at home. The kits will include hands-on activities with instructions, and most of the materials needed to complete each project - a few basics like scissors will not be in the kits.

These kits are designed with ages 5 and up in mind.

Unique to CMNH: Kits will include coloring sheets and activity sheets that are unique to CMNH, and feature some favorite museum activities.

These kits are screen free: You can participate in each activity without watching a video or logging on to a website. There are some activities included in the kits that have instructional videos available on our YouTube channel, but these are completely optional!

Work at your own pace: The activities can be completed any time, whether it's a rainy day or something to take along for extra fun on a family trip.

"Tried and true" museum activities: Our educators have put together activities that we know summer campers have loved, and that will be easy for caregivers to implement at home. Many activities can be done independently, or with limited help from an adult.

Kits can be purchased until May 14th
