5K Race - 9am

Kid-venture Course - 9:50am

Our 5K Road Race has had a good 34 year run, but the Saturday, May 4th, 2019 race will be our LAST race.

When we first started this race in 1985, it was one of our very first fundraisers, and it happened to be at the beginning of the road race movement. It was a wonderful community resource for many years, but now, with the increased number of road races available to runners in the area, it no longer seems like it's the best use of our time and efforts.

We are incredibly grateful to all our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and Seacoast Road Race Series partners for making the race such a fun and festive event over the years!

2019 5K Road Race/Walk

We are the first race of the Seacoast Road Race Series once again and include an official competitive racewalker division. The 5K is open to all ages. Please note that this race is capped at 1,200 participants so don't wait until the last minute!

5K Road Race/Walk fee: $22 in advance, $25 on race day.

Kid-venture Course

After the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire’s annual 5k Road Race this same morning, kids ages 1-10 looking for a shorter (and sillier) challenge will have their chance to step up to the starting line of our Kid-venture Course. This quirky course will be filled with silly challenges and provide a fun time for all.

We’re inviting kids to dress up in a “Super Heroes” theme: wear a cape, costume, or uniform of a hero either real or imagined! And after all age groups have had a chance to conquer the course, we’ll invite them back to take the MEGA CHALLENGE, which is a race around the park and then back through the course!

All Kid-venture participants receive a ribbon and a t-shirt (while supplies last) and can join in the many activities taking place at this yearly fundraising event held outside, rain or shine in Henry Law Park.

Kid-venture Course fee: $8 in advance, $10 day of race.

Families are welcome to enjoy free refreshments and other activities in Henry Law Park before and after the Kid-venture Course.

The Children's Museum's 5K Road Race begins at 9am at the intersection of Central Avenue, Washington Street and Henry Law Avenue, just in front of the museum. The course runs up Central Avenue to Chapel Street, up Portland Avenue and back, finishing with a run across the bridge and back around to Henry Law Park. A division for competitive walkers/racewalkers is available.

Post-race activities, including an awards ceremony and refreshments, will take place in Henry Law Park following the race.

Day-of registration will take place in Henry Law Park this year instead of on the Rotary Pavilion.

The race will be using Light Box. This means if you register the day of the race, you can still get access to your final time, by looking up your name on one of 6 ipads. You can even display your time on a large screen to take pictures in front of.

Children ages 10 and younger can participate in the Kid-venture Course, which takes place at 9:50am in Henry Law Park.
