Celebrating 35 Years!

35Bday

The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire is celebrating its 35th birthday this year! Over the last 35 years (25 in Portsmouth and 10 in Dover) the museum has been visited by an entire generation of families. Some museum staff members remember visiting the museum as children themselves, and now enjoy bringing their children, nieces or nephews to discover the hands-on exhibits. In addition to shaping a generation of curious thinkers, the non-profit museum consistently brings 1.8 to 2.3 million dollars of positive economic impact to the area, every year. And the museum continues to grow.

PLAY EXPANSION PROJECT

We have launched a Play Expansion Project, a series of renovations and expansions both outside as well as within the museum walls. Projects are made possible thanks in part to a $100,000 CDFA business tax credit allotment and grants from the Abbie F. Moseley Charitable Trust, the McIninch Foundation, and the Roger R. and Theresa S. Thompson Endowment Fund, and the Hunt Foundation.

For more information about how to invest in local community development projects through the purchase of business tax credits, please contact Paula Rais, Children’s Museum of New Hampshire’s Vice President of Development & Community Engagement, at 603-742-2002 or through email at paula@childrens-museum.org.
