Friday 27 Ozone Garden Visit and Ozone Glasses Craft 11-11:30am
Join our special guest scientist, Dr. Elizabeth Burakowski, to learn all about the ozone gardens at the museum! Elizabeth will be teaching visitors about what is healthy for the ozone, and explain how our ozone tolerant and ozone intolerant plants in the garden let us know how the ozone is doing. She will be bringing equipment from UNH to test the ozone that day, and kids can read the ozone levels. Kids can also make and decorate a cool pair of ozone glasses that can be used anywhere to check on the health of plants. Elizabeth is a research assistant professor for the Earth Systems Research Center & Institute for the Study of the Earth at the University of New Hampshire. STEAM activities are free with museum admission.
